Farewell to PREP

On May 24th and 25th the CCRHA held it’s first event of the 2019 season, the Spring Schooling and Fun Show! The weather started out cool and rainy but in spite of it we had a fantastic turnout and were happy to see so many new riders participating! Friday night began with open riding time for everyone followed by an amazing barbecue steak dinner cooked up by Gerry, Irene and Todd.
The weather on Saturday couldn’t have been any better! The sun was shining as we started the morning schooling runs. Everyone seemed to get a lot accomplished and after a great lunch we continued on with the Reining classes. Although it was a great show it was a bittersweet one as it is the last event we will be having at PineRidge Equine Park. As many of you know Gerry and Irene Loewen have sold their facility and the new owner will not be using it for Equine events. We were saddened by the news but so happy for Gerry and Irene. We were very fortunate to have such a great facility so close and to have wonderful owners running it. I know so many of you have special memories. That memory may be a nice win, your first time showing or it may even include buttertarts! So thank you once again Irene and Gerry. We wish you both the very, very best!
